About the role
Duties will include but not be limited to, administratively booking elective surgery patients from the waitlist and appointment setting into ieMR and HBICS, nursing support to booking services, assessment of patient fitness, readiness and availability for surgery. Providing patient information for upcoming surgery and nursing management of patients staged for multiple surgeries and following surgical cancellations. Problem solving, working collaboratively and liaising with surgical and multidisciplinary teams on patient urgency and categorisation and be guided by the Elective Surgery Implementation Standard.


  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • It is a mandatory condition of employment for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
