The role:
eHealth Queensland require an experienced Alcatel Enterprise PABX / Unified Communications Engineer (ACSE) who can design enterprise grade telephony solutions using a variety of Alcatel and other tools whilst also be hands-on interrogating systems to support designs and changes required to existing systems.

Using your skills and experience you will manage and undertake the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions for Alcatel telephony solutions , ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.

You will specify and design complex systems and recommend the strategy of how to migrate eHealth to the proposed solutions, document the design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application.

You will interrogate systems in conjunction with designs and proposed changes and conduct configuration changes on systems in line with programs of work and the Enterprise Change Management system. You will be required to undertake out of hours work in conjunction with changes and implementations.

You will manage and mentor a small team of ICT specialists to deliver solutions within Queensland.

You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of Alcatel Telephony solutions and provide expert advice regarding their application. Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of complex changess, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.

To be successful in this role you will have the skills and experience as outlined above plus alignment to the SFIA Skills Matrix:

Experience in the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of technical solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex Alcatel Telephony project(s), preferably in the health care industry. (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)

Experience in designing Alcatel telephony solutions across multiple sites and scales providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques and methods and tools for large scale complex organisations. (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)

You will also have well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working). With Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project team. (NHS: Leading change through people)

Statewide travel is a requirement of this role. A class C driver's license is essential.
